Data scientist- The most popular profession of 2021, and even though women make almost 50% of the general work-force there are only 26% women data professionals. Why?

We live in an era of computers and other electronic devices that have made our lives so fast and easy. And the credit goes to Charles Babbage, the father of the computer. Really?

What about Ada Lovelace who worked along with Charles Babbage and developed the programmable code to run these devices? Does she get enough credit?

>70% of girls are seen to be interested in STEM but only 0.4% take it as a career option/ college major. Maybe because of the lack of encouragement. We need to increase women participation by
• Creating a women-friendly organisation where they will not be stereotyped at particular roles,
• Not limiting them to a subordinate level,
• Give women also a chance to join the data science teams

Women are now getting out of their normal lives and ready to change the world. Let’s help them instead of being an obstacle for them.
